Pam McDowell Saylor
Pam McDowell Saylor, M.Ed., often brings rhythm and sound into her performances
with singing, chimes, flutes, and percussion instruments. She tells stories from the oral traditions of world cultures as well as stories of her own creation. Her storytelling mentor is master storytellerLaura Simms; she has also studied with Jackie Torrence, Jay O'Callahan, Nancy Mellon, and Donald Davis. Workshops are available tailored to the needs of the group. Possible approaches are through: body and spatial awareness/creative movement, visual arts, music, puppetry. With a background in elementary education, she can teach educators how to use storytelling to enrich and bring to life the subjects that they teach in the classroom.
